And she plays LaVerne jukebox Ganner on Starz's series Power. Her performances in the theatre are well-known as well, especially her role in the role of Emmie Thbodeaux in Caroline or Change, a Broadway production of the musical Caroline or Change (2004) that earned her an award for the Tony Award Best Featured actress in the musical.
